Jeremiah 51:50-52
New English Translation
50 You who have escaped the sword,[a]
go, do not delay.[b]
Remember the Lord in a faraway land.
Think about Jerusalem.[c]
51 ‘We[d] are ashamed because we have been insulted.[e]
Our faces show our disgrace.[f]
For foreigners have invaded
the holy rooms[g] in the Lord’s temple.’
52 Yes, but the time will certainly come,”[h] says the Lord,[i]
“when I will punish her idols.
Throughout her land the mortally wounded will groan.
